FROM BARTENDER TO FIFO.
I never imagined my bartending days would lead me to the world of FIFO, but here I am, living a fulfilling life of adventure and hard work. Working behind the bar taught me valuable lessons about people, resilience, and the hustle. Late nights, quick thinking, and a constant smile were my daily grind. I loved the energy and the stories shared over drinks, but I craved a new challenge.
One night, while mixing cocktails and chatting with a regular, I heard about the opportunities in FIFO work. The idea of combining travel with a career sounded like the perfect next step. I did my research, got my certificates, and soon enough, I landed my first FIFO gig.
Transitioning from the bar to a remote work site was a leap. The shifts are long, the work is tough, and being away from home can be challenging. But the income, the connections, and the sense of accomplishment make it all worthwhile.
Now, 8 years on my office is the Australian outback, and my commute involves flights to some of the most remote and beautiful parts of the country. It’s a unique lifestyle, blending hard work with the thrill of new adventures.
